Netflix has released the first trailer of the upcoming Korean live-action television series “Parasyte: The Grey”.

The Korean television series adaptation of ‘Parasyte: The Grey,’ originally a sci-fi horror manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki, is in the works. Although the source material hails from Japan, a Korean production house is bringing it to life on the small screen. The trailer unveiled several aspects that were new and unfamiliar to fans of the manga.
“In the television series adaptation of ‘Parasyte: The Grey,’ produced by Netflix, none of the main characters from the original manga have made an appearance. The show draws inspiration from a condensed version of the manga’s storyline, which accounts for the absence of familiar faces. Moreover, the series isn’t a direct adaptation; it selectively borrows plot and narrative elements from the manga while independently developing the story. Consequently, the treatment of the storyline and the main characters, including the protagonist, diverges significantly.”

Parasyte: The Grey will be released on 5th April 2024 and streamed on Netflix.
